This site’s BLOG and forums are my attempt to pay forward for the wonderful adventures I have had as a professional mathematician and teacher. My days at LSU were guided by professors Butts, Koch and Cohen by forcing my success in undergraduate arithmetic through the sieve of abstract systems and rigor of post-graduate mathematics. That undergraduate foundation in math was fun because my high school math was delivered with the wit and wisdom of a lovable Acadian, Messieur Durand at Helena-West Helena Central High School, and the infinite patience of Professor Donald M. Seward at Quachita Baptist College. If only some of my joy from mathematics comes through to you, I will be fully compensated!
